Months  Flying By.
I cannot believe how fast the last couple of months have flown by.
My grandson had his 5th birthday, the Reptile Man came with all of his snakes, lizards and a 1 1/2 metre crocodile the kids were just great only one child was a bit weary, the adults enjoyed it as much as them..
My son in law had his 30th birthday, BBQ and good company, my niece had an inverted carcinoma removed from her nose looks like everything went well. I have been going to a sewing circle at Blueberries a couple of times a month it is amazing how much you can get done, I am doing a block of the month, finishing off a lovely quilt and the biggest time consuming project is getting into my family tree on my mothers side once you start it is very hard to get up and walk away it really sucks you in.My youngest grandson had his 3rd birthday and my mother in law had her 94th she is just a wonderful lady.

A few Photo's from the last couple of months, will have to take some of my block of the month and the quilt I am doing.

Hunter Valley Retreat

Last weekend was the Summer get away at the Hunter Valley Retreat, situated in Quorrobolong, NSW Australia.  Arrived Friday morning and left Sunday after lunch, the company, accommodation and the three meals a day were wonderful a very pretty spot, I certainly came home with lots of new ideas and some extra goodies (stamps, stickers, papers) Tracey & Sarah did a wonderful job organising it. There were  35 of us there and I enjoyed trying something different it is just amazing some of the beautiful things these ladies made
I still need a lot of practice!

Empty Nest

What a wonderful Christmas with the family especially the grandchildren they just make it so special.
All have gone home and it is very quiet here ( empty nest, ) so it is time to get stuck into some gardening & quilting.
I have just started a Celtic Quilt there are 20 161/2" blocks having trouble with loops that come to a point which have to be mitred, my bias strip is 3/8" ,  I just can't seem to get it right is there anyone out there who could help.
